What is a barcode?
A barcode, also known as a UPC (Universal Product Code), is simply a unique digit number that allows retailers to easily track sales of your product within their inventory system.
Is my barcode unique?
Yes, you will receive a - never-before used - unique barcode, which can only be used for your product.
How long will I have to wait for my barcode?
The barcodes will be sent instantly to your email address after payment is completed.
How can I pay?
You can pay safely and securely using PayPal or with American Express, VISA or MasterCard.
How much information do I have to fill in, before being able to obtain a barcode?
You only have to fill in your (company) name, your email address and the amount of barcodes you wish to order. That is all the information we need from you!
How many barcodes do I need?
You will need a unique barcode for every product type. For example, if you have three product types (e.g. strawberry, raspberry and cherry jam) you will need three different barcodes.
Will my barcode contain price-information?
No, your barcode is just a string of unique numbers. Your code does not contain price-information or other product information.
I really only have to pay a one-time fee per barcode?
Yes, there are no hidden costs. You do not have to pay annual subscription fees!
Can the barcodes be scanned?
Yes, the graphic files are delivered in a high resolution of 600 dpi.
Will my barcode work worldwide?
Yes, your barcode will be applicable worldwide.
Will my barcodes work in every store?
The barcodes provided by us are standard codes, applicable in nearly every kind of store. However, there are a few, mostly large companies, like Macy's, Walmart, Kroger's, J.C. Penney's and Albert Heijn, which can impose additional requirements regarding barcodes and/or country codes and/or company coding on the products they sell in their stores.
Will there be a country code processed in my barcode?
Yes, our barcodes start with a 0, meaning they are from North America; of course this says nothing about the origin of the products.
Will I be able to use my barcodes for books or pharmaceutical products?
No, you will need so-called ISBN codes for books. Pharmaceutical products require a different kind of barcode-system.
